About the Role We are seeking a Commercial Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen customer partnerships across Australia and New Zealand.
This position will focus on supporting the academic and research sector, with particular emphasis on solutions in the Biotechnology or Biopharmaceutical supply sectors, providing Bioprocessing Solutions.
Preferably based in Melbourne, you will manage key customer accounts, identify new opportunities, and provide scientific and technical insight to drive adoption of innovative products and services.
Key Responsibilities - Achieve sales targets and business objectives across the ANZ region.
- Develop and implement account plans targeting the academic and research community.
- Drive the adoption of innovative solutions into (pre)clinical to commercial bioprocessing workflows.
- Partner with customers to support their therapeutic pipelines, from early-stage discovery through to scale-up and manufacturing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical, and applications specialists to deliver customer success.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and industry events across ANZ.
- Maintain CRM records and provide accurate sales forecasting.
About You - Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or related field (higher qualification advantageous).
- 3+ years field sales experience within the life sciences, ideally with exposure to laboratory or process-based environments.
- Strong understanding of bioprocessing, fermenters, bioreactors, cell culture media, and advanced therapeutics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand.
- Preferably based in Melbourne.
