The Role In your role as Embryologist, you will work alongside a team of 9 other embryologists in the lab, providing embryology, andrology and endocrine testing. You will be supported by Team Leaders and Supervisors, working Monday-Friday and weekends on a rotating roster.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform ART procedures including but not limited to IVF, ICSI, embryo biopsy, embryo culture, cryopreservation and andrology
- Process and analyse blood samples
- Ensure quality control is maintained
- Follow established internal and accreditation protocols
- Report on results
- Data entry and management
- Maintain high laboratory standards in accordance with RTAC, NATA, NPAAC and Medicare requirement
This is a Mat Leave cover position on a 12-month fixed-term contract, there is potential for a permanent opportunity but this is not guaranteed.
About you - Bachelor's degree in Science
- Masters in Life Science or a Diploma in Reproductive Science would be an advantage
- Expertise in clinical human embryology services (including IVF, ICSO, biopsy, embryo culture and cryopreservation, andrology)
- Knowledge of ART legislation and clinical protocols
- Knowledge of the RTAC Code of Practice and all other compliance requirements
- Knowledge of NATA an AS ISO 15189-2013
- Experience working at the bench pipetting
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Full working rights for Australia - there is no employer sponsorship available
