GMP Facility Maintenance Fitter

About The Company
KE Select has exclusively partnered with Specialty Probiotics Australia to support the scale up of their team.

Based in Ormeau, the Queensland facility will be producing world-class probiotic ingredients and products. Specialty Probiotics Australia aims to turn probiotic ideas into reality for their customers, providing solutions from formulation through to manufacturing.

We are looking for individuals with experience from a GMP and TGA-certified environment with a passion for supporting health and wellness needs.

About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Product Manufacturing, the GMP Facility Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of all plant and equipment within in the facility. 

You will support the ongoing operation of a safe, clean and compliant manufacturing environment by providing both corrective and preventative maintenance. 
  
Some of the responsibilities as follows:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to mechanical systems and equipment in compliance with GMP standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they impact production 
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in accordance with GMP, regulatory and company policies 
  • Oversee the calibration, installation and testing of new mechanical equipment 
  • Communicate and work closely with the production team 

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
  • Relevant technical qualification on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance within a regulated GMP environment (Pharma or Food Production)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment used in manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of a GMP environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team orientated environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to up to 15kg and perform manual tasks such as carrying tools or parts 
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and on-call shifts if required to support operations 
  • Relevant certifications in safety, maintenance or specific mechanical systems (e.g. HVAC, Refrigeration) is a plus
