Medical Scientist | Clinical MicrobiologyThe Company Our client is a well-respected healthcare provider and pathology organisation with a central laboratory in South Brisbane, supporting around 40 clinics across South East QLD, Hospitals and clinical trials.
The Role
In your role as Microbiologist you will work in a hospital laboratory, be a part of the microbiology team and be responsible for plate reading and gram staining. You will be handling a high volume of samples per day and will need to be ale to work to tight turnaround times.
There is minimal training available, you must be able to work independently and have experience in clinical microbiology.
About you
- Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Microbiology background
- Experience in a clinical laboratory environment
- Experience with Aseptic Techniques
- Experience with the 16 Streak Technique
- Full working rights for Australia
- Ability to work across different shifts time and days
- Ability to start ASAP
- Flexibility is a MUST
- Be able to work over the Christmas Holidays
