Production Operator - Encapsulation and Sachet Machines

KE Select has exclusively partnered with Specialty Probiotics Australia to support the scale up of their team.

Based in Ormeau, the Queensland facility will be producing world-class probiotic ingredients and products. Specialty Probiotics Australia aims to turn probiotic ideas into reality for their customers, providing solutions from formulation through to manufacturing.

We are looking for individuals with experience from a GMP and TGA-certified environment with a passion for supporting health and wellness needs.
  
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Product Manufacturing, this full-time position of Encapsulation and Sachet Machine Operator will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and performance of the  packaging machines within the production area. The goal will be to ensure that activities are timely, according to safety standards, compliance, quality and in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulations.
  
Some of the responsibilities as follows:
  • Operate, adjust, maintain and troubleshoot machines to ensure efficient production
  • Monitor and control parameters such as capsule fill weight, sachet sealing integrity, and packaging accuracy
  • Ensure machines are set up correctly and performing optimally
  • Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work area per GMP standards
  • Maintain records in relation to production, machines, and quality in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Adhere to safe work practices and report hazards
  • Work with other departments to implement continuous improvement strategies
  • Additional duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
  • Previous experience operating encapsulation and sachet filling machines in a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a GMP regulated environment
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and complete batch manufacturing records
  • Forklift license (preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and overtime to meet production requirements
  • Full working rights in Australia
