About The Role We are currently seeking to appoint a
Quality Manager to lead and implement quality systems for the facility. You will provide technical expertise and leadership for the facility and work closely with the team to drive engagement with researchers, collaborators and industry partners.
This role is a site-based position in Mackay. Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of developing a comprehensive quality system to support manufacturing.
- Lead the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure that the quality management systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), audits, and non-conformance programs are clearly established.
- Develop comprehensive Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans, Quality Assurance protocols, product specifications, and quality control measures to ensure that production meets required standards.
- Collaborate closely with the operational team and the broader teams in Brisbane
- Train staff to integrate quality management into facility operations and foster a culture of quality
Key Criteria: - Tertiary qualifications in Biotechnology, Science or relevant discipline with extensive relevant experience in developing quality systems in complex environments.
- Proven experience in operating and continuously improving quality management systems such as HACCP and GMP.
- Demonstrated experience in developing quality manuals, assurance plans, standard operating procedures, audit schedules, and quality control protocols.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a track record of applying innovative approaches to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
